On October 15, 1982, Concordia University recognized the Garnet Key Society as Concordia’s official honour society. Membership in the Garnet Key Society is the highest honour that can be bestowed upon an undergraduate student.
Depending on the nature of the University organized event, members of the Garnet Key Society can be asked to act as official host, welcome guests and/or be guides.
Please note that as students, the priority of the Garnet Keys remains their studies. They should be contacted well in advance of any scheduled event. Once they commit for a specific time frame, they cannot be expected to remain for a longer period. In order for them to carry out their duties properly, we recommend you brief them thoroughly prior to the event.
Although the Garnet Key members attempt to accept responsibilities at as many university events as possible, they cannot guarantee availability for all events. You may consider a fall-back plan when planning your event.
Please note any bookings should be submitted a minimum of ten (10) working days in advance.
