Ages

Concordia’s arts and sciences camps are open to all children aged 5 to 17, regardless of their province or country of residence.

Languages

Our camps are conducted primarily in English. However, activities and communications are bilingual. We welcome both English and French‑speaking families, and our bilingual staff supports children in both languages.

Location

The location for Concordia camps varies and is provided at registration time.

Our approach to learning

Through games and activities in small groups of 10 to 15 campers, our arts and sciences camps encourage:

• Embracing differences in a fun way to create a space where everyone feels safe and heard
• Teamwork and collaboration
• Leadership skills
• Standing up for yourself in a respectful way
• Resolving conflicts through positive group discussions, accountability, and learning from mistakes

Our day camp team is carefully selected for their experience and interest in working with children, and in providing a safe, engaging environment. Team members receive over 50 hours of training, and many staff members are certified in first aid and CPR. All staff undergo a criminal background check and receive training on Concordia University’s Policy on the Protection of Children.

Camp activities take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. 

Pre-camp and post-camp day care services are available. Advance registration is required.

• Explore the programs
• Consult the weeks available for each program and their schedules
• View the applicable rates 
• Help you prepare for registration

You do not need to create an account, and you can consult the registration site without any obligation.

Registration time

When you're ready to register, have the following information on hand:

• Your child's RAMQ card number (for Quebec residents), other provincial or private insurance covering medical care in Quebec (for international visitors or temporary residents).
• Child's social insurance number (for the RL-24 childcare expenses slip - Revenu Québec).
• Medical information: prescriptions, health and vaccine information, allergy information.
• Name and contact information of an emergency contact aside from yourself.

You can follow these easy steps to complete the process:

1. Access the registration site.
2. Select the program (for your first child if you are registering more than one).
3. Complete the registration form. 
4. Validate your selection.
5. Proceed to payment.

You will receive an email message confirming your registration. 

Cancellation policy

You may cancel your child's registration at any time without having to justify your decision. Simply send us written notice by email at info.camps@concordia.ca. The cancellation takes effect on the date your email is sent.

Cancellation before the start of the camp week: A full refund will be issued for all amounts paid, including the $50 registration fee. No fees or penalties apply, regardless of when the cancellation request is made.

Cancellation after the start of the camp week: The refund is calculated on a prorated basis according to the number of camp days provided, using the daily rate for the applicable week. We retain only:

• the cost of the camp days that were provided to your child up to the cancellation date 
• a cancellation fee equal to the lesser of $50; or 10% of the cost of the unused days

Example: A five-day week at $90 per day ($450 total), cancelled after two days. We retain $180 for the days attended and a $27 fee (10% of the remaining $270). Refund: $243.

Refund timeline and method

All refunds are processed within 10 days of receiving the cancellation notice, using the same payment method as the original payment. If payment was made by debit card or cash, the refund will be issued by cheque within the same 10-day period. 

Changes and transfers

Changes to a registration (group, program, or week) are permitted subject to availability and at no additional charge. Requests must be sent to info.camps@concordia.ca. A transfer to another week does not constitute a cancellation. If no space is available, you retain your right to cancel under the conditions described above.

Absences

A child's occasional absence does not constitute withdrawal from the program and does not entitle you to a refund. However, if you wish to permanently withdraw your child, you must provide written notice. The cancellation rules applicable after the start of camp will then apply as of the date your notice is sent. 

Cancellation by the camp

If we must cancel a week or a registration (for example, due to insufficient enrollment, force majeure, or other circumstances), you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid for services not provided, including the registration fee, within 10 days. 

Removal of a child by the administration

If a child is removed from the program for behavioural or safety reasons, the refund will be calculated according to the same rules that apply to cancellations after the start of camp. We retain the cost of the days provided and a capped cancellation fee (the lesser of $50 or 10% of the cost of unused days), and we refund the remaining balance within 10 days.
