Central Building foundation repairs

The project addressed water infiltration and improved indoor air quality.

Project overview

Concordia completed foundation repairs on the west side of the Central (CC) Building on the Loyola Campus to address recurring water infiltration in several basement rooms.

The project involved localized excavation along the building’s west façade, installation of a waterproofing system on the foundation walls and improvements to site drainage. Landscape restoration was also completed as part of the project.

Given the site’s heritage context, special care was taken to ensure the excavation work did not conflict with the surrounding stone landscaping and public artwork.
