Central Building foundation repairs
The project will address water infiltration and improve indoor air quality.
Project overview
Concordia is carrying out foundation repairs on the west side of the Central (CC) Building on the Loyola Campus to address recurring water infiltration in several basement rooms.
The work will involve localized excavation along the building’s west façade, installation of a waterproofing system on the foundation walls and improvements to site drainage. Landscape restoration will also be completed as part of the project.
Given the site’s heritage context, special care will be taken to ensure the excavation work does not conflict with the surrounding stone landscaping and public artwork.
Timeline
- May to July 2026
