WHY AFRICA?

With a median age of 19 years old, Africa is the youngest continent in the world. More than 60% of Africa’s diverse population is under 25, and by 2030 young Africans are expected to constitute 42% of global youth.

These figures hold tremendous potential and challenges for the continent and the world’s economic growth and development. They also require the multiple and vibrant communities that make up the African continent to deploy innovative, next-gen academic and social programs to meet the aspirations of its youth and drive sustainable development for its communities and the world.

Concordia’s ties to numerous African countries and regions have evolved around individual initiatives to flourish into academic exchanges and research-based collaborations.

Concordia is dedicated to a unique collaborative initiative that aims grow exchanges in key areas such as entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainability at the interface of academia with business and civil society.
