Vanesca Saint-Hilaire

As an international student from the island of St. Maarten, I was unsure of what to expect when moving to Canada to pursue my tertiary education. The only thing I was certain of, however, was that I wanted a degree that wouldn’t put me in a box but instead offer endless opportunities—and the Applied Human Sciences program did just that. Through experiential learning and the guidance of incredible professors and instructors, I found deeper meaning in what I do and how I connect with others. My time in the AHSC program, along with my involvement in organizations such as AIESEC, has opened doors to opportunities I never imagined possible. The skills I gained through this program have allowed me to facilitate workshops, speak at conferences, and land my current role with SAP in the University Alliances Program. AHSC is more than just an academic program—it’s a journey of personal growth, professional development, and lifelong connections.
