David Lebrasseur

I have been incredibly fortunate to study Leisure and Recreation and to be able to work in the field since 2005. What started off as a summer job in a day camp, quickly turned into a love for a field I did not quite understand yet. Through an excellent (and fun!) program, with great mentorship from professors like Steven Henle and Shawn Wilkinson, I gained the tools, knowledge, and confidence to take my ideas and apply them into the community.  

Through the years I have been able to apply that knowledge in programs with teenagers, in park redesigns, in event planning, in tons of different environmental programs, in working with tons of wonderful community organisations, and in so much more. The variety in the field are enough to make sure I’ll never get bored, and for that I am grateful.
