Elise Boudreau Graham
Fibres and Material Practices
I make sculptures, installations, and textile works that combine repurposed materials, imagery, and text to create new context for old objects. My practice is drawn to the ordinary, the provisional, and the peripheral: odds-and-ends, hardware, holiday decorations, office supplies, art supplies, clothing, and paper ephemera.
Specifically, I am looking at the home as a site where ideas of generational affect and aesthetic inheritance are given physical form. I am interested in the ordinary objects, improvised systems, and traces that accumulate within the home.
