Darya Majlesi is a filmmaker based in Montreal with a background in theater and documentary. She works mostly in the form of essay films, moving between reality, memory, and imagination. Her films often grow out of personal encounters with turbulent histories and landscapes, exploring how the political and the intimate overlap.
