Thesis Title: The Impact of the October 7 War on the Perceptions of Jews and Muslims in Montreal
Hesham Ramadan is a first-year M.A. student in the Department of Religions and Cultures at Concordia University. He is from Egypt, where he first earned a degree in Civil Engineering before pursuing a B.A. in Hebrew Studies at Cairo University. The events of October 7, 2023, inspired him to further explore Jewish studies and interfaith relations. Unable to pursue this path in Egypt, he chose to continue his academic journey in Canada, drawn by the country's multicultural values. Hesham's research focuses on promoting intercultural understanding between Jews and Muslims, and on exploring how both communities can contribute to and benefit from Canada's multicultural landscape.
