Congratulations on your successful application!

Once you receive your official approval letter from Mitacs, follow the steps below to prepare for your project and receive your funding.

You are responsible for ensuring all requirements are met and submitting the necessary documentation to both Concordia International and Mitacs.

Step 1: Complete Concordia requirements & pre departure form submission

  • Attend pre-departure session: Participate in the mandatory session hosted by Concordia International and get your Mitacs Pre-Departure Form signed.

  • Log into the Concordia Outbound Mobility Portal:

  • Funding authorization & transfer: Once your banking details are submitted, Concordia International will seek authorization from your Concordia supervisor and request Payroll to deposit your Mitacs GRA stipend.

    • Note: The transfer process begins after Mitacs releases the award letter and funds to Concordia. Disbursement can take a few weeks.

Step 2: Submit required forms to Mitacs

Email the following documents directly to Mitacs at grants-subventions@mitacs.ca:

  • Your confirmed internship dates

  • Your Pre-Departure Form (signed by Concordia International)

Step 3: Arrange travel documents, health insurance & safety registrations

Important notice regarding project changes

You must notify both Mitacs and Concordia International immediately of any changes affecting your research project—including date adjustments, major project modifications, or changes to intern or supervisor eligibility.
