Bachelor of Fine Arts
Major in Film Production

My participation in the Communication Games allows me to build wonderful connections with members of my student delegation.

Fun fact: I swam in Lake Titicaca in Bolivia!

My favorite thing about Concordia: I love the energy on campus and the camaraderie among students.

What did you enjoy most about Concordia?

My best university experience has been participating in the Communication Games. It allows me to build strong bonds with other students, develop my communication skills and travel across the province!

What does a typical day on campus look like for you?

Every day is truly different for me. I never know what adventure awaits me! I usually take the metro to the university and then go to class. During breaks, my friends and I like to stop by one of the many cafés on the Sir George Williams Campus, which is ideal for studying or working on group projects. Alternatively, the library is also a perfect place to work quietly.

As an ambassador for the Centre pour étudiant·es francophones, I spend several hours a week in their open and welcoming space. I’m also part of the STEP Forward program, a leadership development program for student employees.

Do you have any other projects you are particularly proud of?

I run the Concordance language exchange program, developed by the Centre for Francophone Students. It's a program that facilitates linguistic and cultural exchange between university students and creates wonderful connections among its members.

What was it like studying in English?

Personally, I needed some time to adjust to studying in English. French had been my language of instruction my whole life, so I was apprehensive about this change. However, just a few weeks after classes started, I had almost completely adapted! It's also worth noting that it's possible to submit assignments in French.

Beyond academic life, it was also important for me to speak French and maintain a Francophone community within the university. Although I study in English, I remain very attached to the French language! It reassured me to learn that there are many resources available to help Francophone students adapt at Concordia, including the Centre for Francophone Students and the Franco Pod at Homeroom.
