Muxin Zhang

Muxin Zhang is a PhD candidate in the Film and Moving Image Studies program. She holds a BA in Economics and Mathematics from New York University and an MA in Film and Media Studies from Columbia University. Her PhD dissertation explores the career trajectories of historical border-crossing East Asian female stars, focusing on how cosmopolitan aesthetics and practices were factored into their image-making. She has also written on K-pop.
