What do you love most about your work, and what inspired you to pursue this career in the first place? 

I love the human connection in my work and the impact of short, focused projects. Helping organizations make sense of complex regulations is deeply rewarding, especially because I remember what it felt like to be on the other side.

When I audit, my moral compass takes over – I’m fully aware of the responsibility I carry for public safety. I chose this field because it allows me to serve society with integrity and purpose. 

Looking back, what skills have been the biggest gamechangers in your career? 

Analytical thinking and time management were shaped early through long hours of bench work. Organic chemistry and lab experience still pay dividends when auditing R&D environments.

My biochemistry training at Concordia rewired how I think to be more structured, linear, factual and purposeful. In audits, consulting and corporate training, those skills have been pure gold.

How did Concordia prepare you for your career? 

Concordia didn’t just teach me science; it taught me how to think. The rigor of biochemistry shaped my analytical habits and gave me the clarity and structure that now defines my work in regulated industries.

What is a standout memory from your time at Concordia? 

The authenticity of the connections I made stand out most. My mentor remains a trusted voice in my life whose guidance and objectivity continue to ground me. And the professors were deeply human in their approach — truly rooting for their students — which positively shaped my entire experience.

If you could give your younger self one powerful piece of advice, what would it be? 

Trust the process! It’s hard for a reason – that’s why far fewer people finish than start. The path is wider than the lab bench, and your skills translate far beyond it. Explore graduate certificates in quality systems and regulatory work – it’s a growing, dynamic space with room to build a meaningful career.

What’s the most exciting shift happening in your industry right now? 

The most exciting shift is the ISO 9001:2026 transition period launching in Q4‑2026. It’s catalyzing a broader transformation: organizations are reassessing their processes, strengthening cross‑functional alignment and embracing quality as a strategic asset. This moment is creating unprecedented opportunities for innovation, smarter decision‑making and a more mature quality culture.
