Office of the Chief Communications Officer

University Communications Services (UCS) manages Concordia’s communications initiatives. UCS is the university’s hub for public and media relations, marketing, branding, advertising, public affairs, and internal and digital communications.

UCS is structured as a matrix model made up of three interrelated units that collaborate closely on all communications activities.

Web Communications:
Manages the university’s digital communications initiatives that include websites, intranets, mobile apps, search engine optimization and mass email campaigns and newsletters.

Studio:
Establishes and promotes Concordia’s visual identity through design and logos, and coordinates graphic design, photography and videography services.

Publications:
Creates and distributes digital and print publications about and for the Concordia community.

Recruitment Marketing:
Develops innovative strategies to promote Concordia and attract top students.

Plans and executes fundraising campaigns and activities for alumni, students, donors and friends.

Handles the university’s institutional communications and media relations, as well as communications within Concordia’s four faculties, Library, Co-operative education, Centre for Continuing Education and research and graduate studies.
