Mat Karas is a ceramic artist from Montréal, Québec.  Mat's work plays with function as a language to mediate art, tradition and daily life. He holds an MFA from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred, and a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax.
