He continues to work as a freelance cinematographer. His filmography includes: Petropolis, 2002 (Best Experimental Documentary, Barcelona Docúpolis), Interstellar, 2005 (Festival Nouveau Cinéma), Death Valley Superstar, 2008 (International Jury Award, 32nd São Paulo International Film Festival), La Trilogie RétroviseurPortrait Zero (2012), Lost Object Notice (2013), Blue Signal (2014), La Version nouvelle, 2018, (Festival Nouveau Cinéma). His cinematography for Ulla von Brandenburg's 'Around' (2005) is part of the Tate Modern's permanent collection.

Besides image-making, the history of images, and their relationship to texts, Yaroshevsky's interests are in teaching cinematography and the process of perception/visualisation; the confluence of digital and analogue image technology; screen-aesthetics; colorimetry; screenwriting and essay-film; cinema-iconology-prosody; mise-en-scène and performance theory.
