Biography

Zhijie Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Concordia University. Prior to joining Concordia University, he received his Ph.D. in Software Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Alberta, in 2025.
His research focuses on quality assurance for AI software systems with software engineering techniques and human factors. His work probes the intersection of Software Engineering (SE) and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and has led to publications at top-tier venues in both fields (e.g., ICSE, FSE, CHI, TSE, and TOSEM). He was a recipient of the ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Paper Award at FSE 2023. You can find more about him on his personal website.
