Biography

Dr. Salini Karuvade is a theoretical physicist specializing in quantum information theory and quantum computation. She obtained her PhD on the foundational aspects of quantum computing in open systems under the supervision of Prof. Barry C. Sanders at the University of Calgary. Salini was a Deborah Jin Postdoctoral Fellow supported by the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems (EQUS) and supervised by Prof. Stephen D. Bartlett and Prof. Andrew C. Doherty at the University of Sydney. Her current research focuses on noise characterization and benchmarking in quantum computers, as well as related topics in non-Hermitian physics, quantum machine learning, and quantum algorithms.
