Overview

Dr. Molz has research interests in international business strategy, particularly in developing, emerging and transitional economies. He was co-founder and past chair of the Montreal Local Global Research Group. Dr. Molz has published four books relating to international business and strategy, the two most recent published by Routledge: Building Businesses in Emerging and Developing Economies (2014), co-edited with Elie Chrysostome; and The Multinational Enterprise in Developing Countries: Local versus Global Logic(2010) co-edited with Catalin Ratiu, and Ali Taleb. 



Dr. Molz has published more than twenty refereed journal articles and reviews, including in the Journal of Social Economics, World Financial Review, Critical Perspectives on International Business, Academy of Management Learning and Education, Academy of Management Review, International Studies of Management and Organization, International Journal of Management Reviews, Advanced Management Journal, Journal of East West Business, Latin American Business Review, Global Business and Economic Review, International Management, International Review of Administrative Sciences, Government and Policy, Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences, Advances inInternational Comparative Management, Journal of World Business, Management International Review, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Business Ethics, and Journal of Business Strategy.



He has been visiting professor at Donau-Universität Krems, Austria; African Development Bank, Tunis, Tunisia; Czech Management Center, Celakovice, Czech Republic; Institute of Management, Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany; Hautes Études Commerciales Montreal; Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, India; and the Warsaw School of Economics,Warsaw, Poland.



Dr. Molz works regularly with Graduate Students. Every year since 1993 he has offered one of four different PhD seminars: Debating Strategic Management, Strategic Management in Transitional Enterprise, International Management or Fundamentals of Administrative Thought. He has supervised six PhD students and eight MSc students to completion. He is currently supervising two PhD theses and one MSc thesis. He has served as amember of many PhD and MSc committees, both as a regular member and as an external examiner.  He also works with MBA students doing Community Service projects.
