Meeting Through Materialities, movement and words

Meeting Through… is an ongoing research-creation project that employs choreographic research as a way of instigating new passageways of socio-political and environmental awareness. It is a collaboration exploring touch, movement and fabulation as modalities that connect bodies with their environment.

keep in Touch! Critical Embodiements for Possible Future(s)

Keep in Touch! Critical Embodiments for Possible Future(s) applies choreography as an 'ecology of attention' (Citton,Y. 2017) and embodiment, conceives dance as a relational field where bodies, perceptions, and environments co-compose. It is less about producing stable forms than about cultivating shared conditions of awareness — away of sensing, caring, and being present together.

Building on myprevious research-creation work, this project contributes to theories of ‘new materialism’and ‘worlding,’ utilizing concepts of kinship and situated knowledges (Haraway,2016, 1988), land as pedagogy (Simpson, 2017), and autotheory (Fournier 2021). Wewill practice with performative tools such as somatic practices, collectivestorytelling, soundscape design, and ongoing multimedia archival methods, theproject will engage with various environments, through several collaborations(La Chapelle Scenes Contemporaines, Artenso, 3e, Laboratoiredes sensorialités multiples /Dance Cité and i2ADS- Instituto Politécnico do Porto), each with their own systems of organization andknowledge creation yet aligned with the project's values. The theatre willserve as the space where experimental imaginative embodiments come to life, enabling the more than human collective
