Joseph Siddiqi (MFA Painting, Boston University) is an artist and educator working in painting and drawing. He has been awarded grants for his work by the Canada Council for the Arts, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation, and the Concordia University Part-time Faculty Association. His paintings have been exhibited by galleries across Canada and are included in public, private and corporate collections. He has been teaching in the Department of Studio Arts at Concordia University since 2007.

Research activities

Mindfulness with Fine Arts

Working with the Sati Pasala Foundation to provide insight on the connections between the practices of mindfulness and the fine arts, with a focus on creating art as a mindful learning activity for children; conducting online experiential drawing sessions with participants in Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, USA and Canada.
