Jessica Auer lives and works in Montréal where she obtained a Master's degree in Studio Arts from Concordia University. Inspired by her intimate relationship with the outdoors, Jessica' s landscape photography is concerned with the development of cultural and natural sites of recreation. By photographing both subtly inhabited spaces as well as sites that have been recently built or severely transformed, she produces images that provoke reflection on personal experience, cultural authenticity and collective memory of specific sites. Jessica is a co-founder and co-director of Galerie Les Territoires in Montréal and teaches photography at Concordia University.
