Evelyn Thoen

Evelyn Thoen’s work explores the relationship between body and land through film photography and mixed media. Her practice makes use of traditional analog photography techniques alongside printmaking and collage. Currently, her work investigates our relationship with human-made structures, whether they be downtown skyscrapers, public sculptures, or personal memorials. Form and structure are at the forefront in her work, grounded by a sense of the unseen but deep connections between all things.

Evelyn Thoen (she/her) is an intermedia artist currently based in Montreal/Tiohtià:ke. Her work has been exhibited in group and solo shows in California and Tennessee. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Art from Westmont College in 2021.
