Chris M Forsyth
Photography
Chris M Forsyth is an artist whose research-based practice in photography and bookmaking explores the complex and overlapping relationships we have with place. In projects linking themes of history and human geography, he approaches landscape as a layered archive. Positioning his practice as an act akin to archeology, he reads landscape considering its implications and connections. Ranging from the monumental to the personal, Forsyth maps the varied ways in which we have come to define and redefine our surroundings.
Based in Montreal, Forsyth has created work throughout Canada and the United States. His first monograph, Montana Road Wreck, was published in 2024 by Push Pull Editions.
