Eve Marie

My artistic projects explore memory, seeking to transform traumas that pass through generations. I have always had a complex relationship with my femininity. Through my work, I examine my own fragility, vulnerability, and the acceptance of aging. My practice is both intimate and relational, engaging with my own history, my family, and the ways personal and collective memories travel across generations.

Eve-Marie Gascon is a multidisciplinary artist working with photography, film, and installation. She began with documentary and portrait photography and has expanded her practice into immersive works combining sound, moving images, and sculptural elements. Her work explores memory, aging, the transformation of the body and mind, and the reconciliation of fragility and vulnerability. She lives and works between rural Quebec and Montreal.
