Andrée Lafontaine is Associate Professor at Kobe City University of Foreign Studies (Japan). Her edited collection on Québec filmmaker Xavier Dolan was published with Edinburgh University Press, and her work has appeared in the Asian Journal of Media and Communication, the Canadian Journal of Film Studies, the Journal of American Studies (Korea), the International Journal of Applied Psychoanalytic Studies and the Journal of Cinema and Media Studies. She is currently working on a biography of American author Olive Higgins Prouty.
