Adam Szymanski

Adam Szymanski is an independent researcher and consultant based in Berlin.

His first single-author monograph Cinemas of Therapeutic Activism: Depression and the Politics of Existence was published by Amsterdam University Press in 2020.

A follow-up book entitled Cinephilia and the Adventure for Existential Health: Recomposing Subjectivity at the Cinema is forthcoming with Northwestern University Press.

His writing has appeared in Inflexions: A Journal for Research-Creation, the Canadian Journal of Film Studies, the Journal of Philosophy of Education, and the International Journal of Drug Policy.

Adam regularly comments on the international art market for MutualArt magazine.
