Bogdan Lytvynenko

Bogdan is a Rhodes Scholar and Scholar in Residence at St. Antony’s College, Oxford. Fluent in French, Ukrainian, Russian and Spanish, Bogdan’s research is focused on the effectiveness of digital diplomacy as a tool to counter government disinformation in times of war. He is passionate about covering Canadian politics and global conflicts including the Russo-Ukrainian War, having worked in London, UK, as a Joan Donaldson Scholar at CBC News. Bogdan has reported on traumatic survival stories of Ukrainian refugees with the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies and has served as the Managing Editor of The Concordian newspaper. He was also a finalist of the YICGG 2025 global governance competition in Shanghai, China, where he presented his research on leveraging AI technologies to shield civil society from hybrid warfare. Originally from Dnipro, Ukraine, Bogdan trained professionally as a ballroom dancer and became a European Championship finalist. In his spare time, Bogdan is an avid skier and traveler, having already visited 33 countries, always eager for more adventures!
