Kheyi Isichei

Kwunkeyi Isichei is the Senior Digital Communications Advisor to Canada’s Minister for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation, where he supports responsible innovation and artificial intelligence policy through strategic digital communications. With a background in visual storytelling and public service, he develops campaigns that translate complex policy into clear, engaging narratives for Canadians. Kheyi’s communications journey began during Nigeria’s End SARS movement in 2020, shaping his commitment to telling African stories with accuracy, empathy, and purpose. After graduating from Concordia University, he joined CityNews Montreal as a video journalist, later working as a videographer and editor. He received the Scarlett Street Award for Experimental Journalism for his profile of Ghanaian refugee Kingsley Agho. In 2024, Kheyi entered the federal public service, supporting cabinet ministers and national campaigns. He remains committed to using storytelling to drive positive change in Canadian and African public life.
