Melissa Migueis

Melissa works at the intersection of marketing, market research, and analytics in the pharmaceutical industry, translating complex data and scientific insights into human-centered narratives. Her career began in healthcare communications, supporting brand reputation and employee engagement in highly regulated environments before transitioning to the commercial side of the business. As Regional Director of Social Media and PR for the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association, she leads strategic digital storytelling initiatives and oversees the organization's podcast, collaborating with industry leaders to amplify diverse voices and advance important conversations across the healthcare sector. At Concordia, Melissa earned recognition including the Gordon Fisher Prize for Journalism, the Frank B. Walker Award, and the Concordia Undergraduate Student Research Award, with her work featured in Air Canada's enRoute and Global News. Though her career path diverged from traditional journalism, she applies her training daily through research, interviewing, writing and sharing engaging stories across the healthcare sector.
