Valuable aspects of studying at Concordia

What I’ve experienced so far at Concordia/Department of Education is far better than what I could have ever imagined, including its empowering community and abundant opportunities to actively be engaged in research activities.

I found Concordia is the best in terms of how supportive and vibrant its community is (e.g., help from programme administrators, graduate students’ conferences and workshops). On top of that, I’ve always been grateful to my supervisor, committee members and other professors who are my role models and they have been offering me invaluable and constant support and guidance.

I’ve received a Concordia Graduate Fellowship and a Concordia remission for my international tuition.

In terms of external scholarships:

  • 2020 – 2022 Merit Scholarship Program for Foreign Students (PBEEE), Fonds de recherche – Nature et technologies (FRQNT) and ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement supérieur
  • 2019 – 2022 Graduate Scholarship for Degree Seeking Students, Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO)

I’ve also received three conference travel awards from Concordia, the Department of Education, and the Canadian Association of Applied Linguistics.
