Kerwins Saint-Jean

Human Relations (BA), Concentration in Community Development 25

Kerwins Saint-Jean is a community leader, program coordinator, and recent graduate of Concordia University’s BA in Human Relations with a concentration in Community Development. Of Haitian descent and raised in the Eastern Townships, his journey into advocacy began in 2020 when he co-organized a Black Lives Matter protest in Sherbrooke, bringing together over 3,000 people. Today, he works as Workforce & Economic Development Coordinator at the Townshippers’ Association, supporting English-speaking individuals in accessing employment opportunities and professional resources. Previously, he coordinated Project RIDE with the Black Community Resource Center to empower Black entrepreneurs across Quebec. Passionate about local impact, Kerwins recently ran as a candidate for Borough President of Lennoxville, focusing on inclusion, youth engagement, and socio-economic development. He credits his time at Concordia—particularly the Human Relations program—for shaping his values in leadership, facilitation, and equity-driven community work.
