Ignite your child’s creativity this summer!

Arts exploration

  • Offered for ages 5 to 8
  • Intensive two-week session
  • Up to 20 participants per session

Immerse your child in a world where artistic exploration takes center stage! Campers will discover new art forms each day: dance, theatre, textiles, visual arts, and music, plus inspiring outings that spark the imagination. Every day brings a new artistic adventure. 

Visual arts exploration  

  • Offered for ages 5 to 17 
  • Age groups: 5-6, 7-8, 9-12, 13-17

Let your child’s curiosity for the visual arts shine! Each week features a new theme: 

  1. Art appreciation: Campers will explore Montreal art. They will learn about the history behind the works, visit urban architecture, and participate in group discussions exploring how art shapes and transforms urban environments.
  2. Mural art: Learn how to make murals and create one during the week.
  3. Exhibited works: Under the supervision of a specialized resource person, campers will work on creating a personal work that will then be exhibited in an art gallery. 

Digital arts exploration   

  • Offered for ages 7 to 17
  • Age groups: 7-8, 9-12

There’s something for everyone! Each week, we will explore disciplines related to digital art like pixel art, video art, photography art, 3D, video games and more.

Video game design  

  • Offered for ages 9 to 17
  • Age groups: 9-12, 13-17

Video game design is fun! Campers will explore the different stages of game design, from the initial idea to the final product. 

We will cover all aspects to bring their creative ideas to life: programming, graphic design, character creation and storytelling.

Dance exploration  

  • Offered for ages: 5-17 
  • Age groups: 5-6, 7-8, 9-12, 13-17 

From contemporary dance to theatrical dance, participants will discover different styles and techniques. Each week, we will choose a subject or theme, and develop a dance project as a group that will be presented at the end of the week. Created in collaboration with Concordia University's dance department, the program remains true to the educational approach of day camps.

Theater exploration  

  • Offered for ages: 5-17
  • Age groups: 5-6, 7-8, 9-12, 13-17 

Explore theater in all its forms with something new every week! Campers prepare a short play for a performance at the end of the week.

  • In puppet theatre, campers will create puppets and design short plays.
  • In improv, they’ll hone their skills and learn to embody characters on the spot.
  • In playwriting, they’ll discover the essential elements of a good play, analyze classic plays and take part in a writing workshop.

Musical exploration   

  • Offered for ages: 5 to 17
  • Age groups: 5-6, 7-8, 9-12 

Give your child the chance to explore the world of music and learn an instrument! Campers will discover different instruments and musical styles. Each week features a new theme, offering a rich and varied musical experience.

Electronic music  

  • Offered for ages:13 to 17
  • Up to 15 participants

Step into the exciting world of electronic music! This program is designed for music-loving teens who want to explore electronic production and composition techniques

On the program:

  • Discovering music production software (DAW)
  • Beat creation
  • Sample manipulation
  • Sound synthesis
  • Mixing 

Campers will learn to compose their own tracks by experimenting with different genres. At the end of the week, they’ll present their creations to the group.  

Textile exploration  

  • Offered for ages: 9 to 17
  • Age groups: 9-12, 13-17 

Perfect for kids who love working with fabric, this program introduces a range of textile techniques — from initial designs to completed projects. Campers discover different methods and create pieces they can proudly take home.

Concordia Counsellor-in-training: Arts and science  

  • Offered for ages 13 to 17
  • 5-week program 
  • Limited capacity

If you're passionate about arts and science and want to build your activity leadership skills, join our Counsellor-in-Training (CIT) program! You'll get a minimum of 150 hours of practical and theoretical learning followed by first-aid training. 

You'll earn a DAFA diploma and enjoy exclusive benefits: an outing to Camp YMCA Kanawana, a two-month membership to the YMCA sports centres, and a priority job interview during next year's hiring campaign. DAFA training included.
