WHU MBA European Summer Program
A two-week course designed for MBA students of WHU's partner schools in their second year who are interested in International Business, Finance, and Corporate Strategy. The program offers a targeted and compact insight into international business in Europe.
About the program
The MBA European Summer Program 2026: "The Changing Environment for International Business in Europe" in Vallendar. The program is for MBA students in their second year who are interested in International Business, Finance and Corporate Strategy. Integrated into the program are several company visits including a visit to the European Central Bank or another large financial institution, as well as visits to several international companies in the area. The company visits compliments the coursework and deepens the understanding of global business dynamics.
Program Dates
Students may participate in one of two available sessions:
- Session 1: May 6, 2026 to May 20, 2026
- Session 2: May 10, 2026 to May 22, 2026
Eligibility requirements
To be eligible to participate in the WHU "The Changing Environment for International Business in Europe" program, you must meet the following criteria.
- Be enrolled in the MBA degree program at Concordia.
- Completed at a minimum of 24 credits toward your current degree program by the time you leave for the program.
- Be registered as a full-time status student at Concordia.
- Minimum CGPA: 3.0.
Placement Fee
Once you accept your Partner Summer Program offer, you are required to pay a $75 CAD placement fee.
The placement fee is non-refundable

Program courses
The program is taught in English and comprises 48 academic hours (equivalent to three credits) plus around 22 contact hours of a cultural program (equivalent to two credits). Students must create a Credit Transfer Request to submit to their faculty for credit transfer approval after successfully completing the program.

- The Busines Tax Environment in Europe
- Business Environment and Strategies of FDI Investors in Central and Eastern Europe
- Entrepreneurship from a European Perspective
- The Relevance of Family Businesses in Europe
- Raising Capital in European Capital Markets
Cultural Program
Included as part of the two week program are a number of cultural and social activities:
- Welcome and farewell dinner
- Visit to a medieval castle
- Guided city tour of Koblenz
- Boat tour along the Rhine
- Winery tour and tasting
Estimated costs & bursary
Host institution fee: €515 to be paid directly to WHU.
Concordia Tuition: 3 credits of Concordia tuition to be paid to Concordia University. Get an estimate of tuition fees.
Quebec Mobility Bursary
To help with the costs of going abroad, Concordia offers a $1,125 CAD Quebec Mobility Bursary to students participating in session 1 and a $975 CAD Quebec Mobility Bursary to students participating in session 2.
To qualify, you must be a Concordia student enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree program and approved to participate in the summer school program.
Important to note:
- Summer school program applicants do not need to submit a bursary application as it is part of the on-line summer school program application, and you will automatically be considered for the Quebec Mobility Bursary.
- Approved students will receive the bursary payment upon arrival and reception of the mandatory Confirmation of Arrival form.
- Details on the payment of the bursary will be sent to successful applicants.
