Ask a question

Host application

Once you have accepted your placement, you will need to complete a separate application for the institution in which you have been placed, also known as your host institution. Host institutions request these applications from inbound exchange students (i.e., you) so that they can collect the information they need to enroll exchange students in their universities, among other administrative tasks.

You can only apply to your host once prompted to do so by either your Concordia International Liaison Officer (ILO) or by your host institution. You will be sent information on how to complete the application either directly by the host institution or by your International Liaison Officer. Usually, host institutions will specify a deadline by which inbound exchange students must complete the application. Take note of the deadline and make sure to complete the application on time.

Each host institution has their own application timelines. However, timelines are generally as follows:

  • Fall applicants: Apply from March – June
  • Winter applicants: Apply from August – November

For more information on the host application, including what information and documents may be required, please read through the “Apply to your host institution” section of the How to apply to CSEP web page.
