Biography
A part-time faculty member June Riley has over 20years of experience teaching in the Department of Finance and In the Department of Economics. Her commitment to students and to the University extends beyond her pedagogical contributions. While she has served on several University committees related to curriculum, course evaluations, student retention,teaching and learning issues, she has also been of service to her part-time colleagues. For the past 20 years she continues to provide her professional expertise to faculty members with the Concordia Part-time Faculty Association. She serves on hiring committees, participates in contract negotiations, provides workshops on pension plans, and not surprisingly, is the Treasurer on the Executive of the Part-time Faculty Association.
Prior to her engagement with Concordia, Professor Riley worked as Financial Economist and then as Senior Economist in the investment banking industry in the city of Toronto. This professional experience in the economics and financial community provides her students with an applied knowledge to meet their own success as leaders in tomorrow's market place.
