Check Eligibility
To apply to Concordia as an exchange student, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Your current home university is one of our partner institutions
- You must be nominated by your home university.
- You have a minimum GPA of equivalent to 3.00 (on a 4.3 scale) in the year of application
- You meet the English Proficiency requirements for Direct Admission (undergraduate | graduate)
- Graduate applicant: You must have completed at least one semester of graduate studies at your home university, prior to your exchange at Concordia
Explore our Courses
Most courses last only one semester, but some last for the full academic year. If you are admitted for only one semester, you cannot register for courses that last the entire Academic Year. One Concordia course typically equals 3 credits.
Apply at Concordia
To be eligible to apply to Concordia University as an exchange student, you must be nominated by your home university. Once your home university has informed us of your nomination to Concordia, you wil receive a link to complete our online application via our Mobility Portal.
- Fall semester (September 2024 - December 2024): April 1 ,2024
- Winter semester (January 2025 - May 2025): April 1. 2024
- Full Academic Year (September 2024 - May 2025): April 1, 2024
All Applicants
- Personal Statement in English, one page maximum.
- Academic transcript of records
- A list of courses currently being taken, if not listed in your transcript
- Proof of English language proficiency, if applicable. Students must meet the minimum score for "Direct Admission".
- Photocopy of passport identification page.

To complete the Concordia International CSEP application, you must first register for your Concordia International Mobility Programs portal. Your portal regroups all your application formalities for your mobility, from your first application to your student report form. The CSEP on-line application form is located within your portal.
- Once you have submitted your online application, you will receive a confirmation e-mail indicating that your application was successfully completed.
- We begin processing applications after the April 1st deadline.
- You will receive an update regarding your admission status 8 weeks. Letters of admission are sent out during the following time-frames.
Fall Semester Entry: Mid-May
Winter semester Entry: Mid-May
Register for Courses
The course registration process will vary depending on the faculty to which you have been admitted. Your admission letter will provide you with specific instructions regarding your course registration process. You are strongly advised to register for courses as soon as you receive your admissions letter as they fill-up quickly. Please consult the Class Schedule prior to selecting your preferred courses. The Class Schedule will provide you with the available courses for your exchange semester.
General Registration Requirements
- Undergraduate student are not permitted to register for graduate level courses.
- Graduate students are not permitted to take both graduate and undergraduate courses simultaneously.
- You must have completed the required pre-requisites for any course that you wish to register for at Concordia.
- Although you can take courses from different departments, 50% of your courses should come from one department.
- Students admitted to the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science (GCS) must submit the completed and signed Inbound Exchange Course Permission form to the GCS advisor prior to course registration.
- An academic advisor may be required to regsiter you some or all of your Concordia courses. This will be indicated in your letter of admisison.
