We know coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to present many challenges. In light of Quebec government directives, the university is closed until further notice.

During that time, please make sure you upload documents via your Student Centre rather than sending them by mail.

We are aware that some applicants are experiencing difficulty registering for English language proficiency tests like IELTS or TOEFL. We are now accepting the Duolingo English Test, which does not require visiting a test centre. Please see below for required scores.

If you have registered for an English language test, please upload your registration confirmation in your Student Centre so we know when to expect your language test results. Under "document type," choose “Note from student.”

If you are experiencing any other difficulties related to sending other types of documents because of COVID-19, please just let us know. The best way is to type up a note and upload it via your Student Centre. Under document type, choose "Note from student."

Consult our FAQs for more information.

English language proficiency

Minimum English language proficiency required for admission

If your primary language is not English and you do not meet one of the proofs of proficiency listed below, you must write an English proficiency test, regardless of your citizenship.

You may upload electronic copies of your test results when you submit your application for admission to Concordia. If you are offered admission, you will need to share official test results, reported directly to our Admissions Application Centre by the test centre.
