Dr. Li is a professor and the Chair of the Department of Building, Civil and Environmental Engineering. He has a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology. His primary area of research is Hydrotechnical Engineering, in particular environmental hydraulics, river and coastal simulations, water quality assessments and turbulence theories. Dr. Li is a licensed Professional Engineer (BC), a fellow of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering, and a member of the International Association of Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research. He is an Associate Editor for the Canadian Journal of Civil Engineering.
