Aileen Pugliese Castro is a Visiting Scholar in Art Education at Concordia University, and an exhibiting watercolour landscape painter. She has taught at University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and University of British Columbia. She has over thirteen years of experience teaching young artists (preschool and elementary) in Howard County Public Schools, Maryland and at Arts Umbrella in Vancouver, British Columbia. She has her BFA and MAT from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), Baltimore, MD.
