Her SSHRC funded Masters Degree was done in Simon Fraser's School of Communication, where she wrote a thesis on the architectural themes in Walter Benjamin and Siegfried Kracauer's film theory, showing how these contributed to their visualization of film's potential to act as a radically new form of public sphere.
