Biography
Jacqueline Camley is a senior lecturer and internship director in the Athletic Therapy program at Concordia University, where she combines academic leadership, clinical expertise, and a strong commitment to inclusive education. Originally from Ontario, she completed a Bachelor of Physical Education (Honours) at Brock University before earning a Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences in Athletic Therapy at Sheridan College, receiving the Dr. Ron Taylor Award for excellence in academics and extracurricular involvement. She later completed a Master of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at the University of Florida, where she gained experience as both an athletic trainer and educator, strengthening her foundation in evidence-informed practice and student mentorship.
Since joining Concordia in 2015 and being promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2022 (awarded the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching 2018), she has played a central leadership role in curriculum and internship development, ensuring students engage in meaningful, ethical, and inclusive clinical learning environments that bridge theory and real-world practice. She strives to create a safe learning environment within her classroom.
Alongside her academic leadership, Jacqueline remains an active clinician working with diverse athletic and community populations, experiences that have highlighted important gaps in rehabilitation resources for underserved groups. These observations have shaped her doctoral trajectory, as she is currently pursuing a PhD focused on physical recovery and return to activity following cesarean birth, under the supervision of Dr. Andreas Bergdahl.
