William Couture

Master of Design (MDes)

William Couture is a student, artist and designer who is interested in the urban and architectural space and its effect on people’s travels within the contemporary city. With a focus towards the textures and temporalities of mobility infrastructures, he focuses primarily on the specificities of the winter city and its climatic transformations. By examining street furniture, roads and construction sites, William is interested in the potential of drawing as a tool to represent sensitive and critical phenomena that cannot be revealed by traditional methods of documentation and study. With experience in illustration and multimedia, which he combines with a technical practice in architecture, he uses this field visual language and syntax to design new narratives for our built environment.
