Joaquín Serpe is a Film and Moving Image Studies PhD student at Concordia University, Montreal. An Audiovisual Designer from the University of Buenos Aires, Joaquin worked in the Argentine public television industry as a sound engineer before starting his graduate studies in Canada. He is an active member of Concordia’s Global Emergent Media Lab (GEM Lab), where he directed the study and research group on populist media. He is currently co-directing a research group on online video streaming communities (Life-Streaming Working Group).
