Hazel May Eckert
Print Media
My interdisciplinary practice explores grief as an ongoing material and energetic process, where images, objects, and organic matter circulate like memory — transforming, decaying, and retaining presence over time. Drawing on my background in graphic design, printmaking, and publishing, I work across analog and digital technology to create works in print, installation, sculpture and artist books. Using collage as both a conceptual framework and a material strategy, I work with found images, lo-fi textures, glitches, and collected materials. The process of making becomes a mourning ritual itself, investigating how ephemeral traces and affective objects hold energy and embody memory.
