Sidra Mughal
Thesis Supervisor: Lynda Clarke
Sidra Mughal is a Master's student in Religions and Cultures at Concordia University, with a research focus on the intersection of gender, climate change, and displacement. She holds a BA in Political Science with a minor in Human Rights, where she developed a strong foundation in international relations and advocacy. Her thesis explores how climate change disproportionately affects women and girls in interior Sindh, Pakistan, and the adaptive strategies they employ. By centering local narratives through interviews and case studies, her work seeks to inform inclusive, gender-sensitive climate policies. Her experience includes an internship with the International Civil Aviation Organization, where she gained insight into global governance and sustainability efforts. Sidra's broader interests include refugee studies, religious identity, and the role of storytelling in humanitarian work.
Sidra has published many articles in The Link, Concordia's student-run newspaper.
