Alexander Panetta

Alexander Panetta previously served as the  Washington-based correspondent for CBC News who has covered American politics and Canada-U.S. issues since 2013.

He graduated from the Journalism (BA) program at Concordia University in 2000.

He previously worked in Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City and internationally, covering nine federal and provincial elections, conflict, disaster and the Montreal Expos. He spent most of his career at The Canadian Press as a reporter and editor, then helped launch the U.S. outlet Politico’s coverage of Canada.
