Veronique Pepin, PhD

I am a kinesiologist with work experience and postgraduate training in the areas of cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) and training in individuals with chronic diseases. With my team, I have established a research infrastructure in CPET and pulmonary rehabilitation at the Centre de recherche du CIUSSS-NIM (Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal site), where I hold a researcher position. I am also a research member of the PERFORM Centre (Concordia) and conduct research at PERFORM. I currently serve as the Chair of the Canadian Respiratory Health Professionals (CRHP) Assembly of the Canadian Thoracic Society.

Research interests

Effects of aerobic exercise interventions on several health parameters, such as exercise tolerance, cognitive function, psychological status, and quality of life in people with various chronic conditions (COPD, obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, asthma, etc.).


Characterization of physical activity and sleep patterns in cardiopulmonary diseases.
