Thomas Lundy
Thomas Lundy is National Magazine Award-nominated journalist and editor, and current associate editor at Canadian Geographic.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in marine zoology from Newcastle University in 2013, he spent several years in science publishing, including at Springer Nature and the UN Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity. In 2021, Thomas graduated from Concordia University, earning a Graduate Diploma in Journalism. During his time at Concordia, Thomas was awarded the Philip Fisher Graduate Diploma Bursary.
Over the last four years, Thomas has worked as an editorial assistant, assistant editor, and now associate editor for Canadian Geographic. His work covers science, environment, wildlife and conservation. He has written and edited numerous stories for the magazine, with his 2024 story on the efforts to establish an Inuit-led protected and conserved area in Taloyaok, Nunavut, earning a nomination and honourable mention in feature writing at the National Magazine Awards.
Thomas was born in the UK and lives in Montreal. He has lived and worked and travelled in Japan and Australia.
