Introduction

In hosting thousands of students on campus, and hundreds of events every year, Concordia University recognizes that the service of food or beverage fulfils an important social as well as nutritional function in community life. Its aim is to provide this food in a responsible manner, and in a way that can meet many diverse dietary restrictions.

FAQ

Where am I not allowed to have food on campus?

Food and beverage, except for water in a closed container, is not permitted in the University’s libraries. No food or beverage is permitted in laboratories, studios and workshops. Food is also not permitted in classrooms unless authorized for a non-academic event.

Who can sell food on campus?

Only authorized vendors who have existing contractual agreements with Concordia, or who have been authorized to cater an event, are allowed to sell food or beverages at the university. In addition, only caterers from Hospitality Concordia’s List of Approved Caterers are allowed to provide food for university events.
